Every Flexbe plan can run SiteTran

SiteTran goes into Flexbe's Code Injection settings. Flexbe lists custom HTML code on all three of its plans, so the plan you pick depends on your site, not on translation.

Ready for SiteTran

Starter, Small Business and Business

StarterSmall BusinessBusiness

All three include custom HTML code, quizzes, pop-ups and forms. Translation works the same on each. Flexbe's online store features (products, payments and emails to customers) are listed on the Business plan.

Fine to test

Free trial

Build and test SiteTran on Flexbe's 14-day trial. Flexbe publishes your site once you choose a paid plan; until then, a connected domain opens with an access code from Settings › General, so you can review your translated pages privately.

Check in Preview

See it in Preview

Flexbe runs Code Injection in Preview and on your live site, and keeps the editor clean for security. Open either one to see the language dropdown and try your translations.

How it works

Add SiteTran to Flexbe in three steps

Flexbe applies Code Injection to every page of your site, so you paste the Widget Code once and every landing page, pop-up and quiz is covered, including pages you add later.

1

Create your SiteTran site

Sign up free, add your Flexbe site's address, select its original language, and choose the languages your customers speak. Then copy your Widget Code from the Dropdown Style page.

2

Paste it into Code Injection

In your Flexbe dashboard, open Settings in the top bar and choose Code Injection. Paste all three lines into the field before the closing </body> tag and save.

Settings›Code Injection›Before the closing </body> tag
3

Translate and go live

Open Preview or your live site and pick a language. SiteTran discovers your text as pages load, then you translate it with AI, your own translators, or both, and publish.

What the Widget Code looks like
<script>var sitetran = {site_id: your_site_id};</script>
<script src="//c.sitetran.com/widget/v3.js"></script>
<div id="sitetran_translate_element"></div>

SiteTran gives you your own ready-to-paste code, with your site ID already in it. The div is where the language dropdown is created.

Settings, not the page's Code panel

The { } Code button in the page editor adds code to the current page only. On a one-page landing site that's enough. With more pages, use Settings › Code Injection so visitors keep their language on every page.

Where the dropdown appears

Code in the </body> field loads after your sections, so the dropdown starts at the bottom of the page. On the Dropdown Style page, set Widget Position to Fixed on window to keep it in a corner, or position it with CSS.

Positioning the Language Dropdown →

Want it inside your header?

Flexbe's HTML element renders straight into the page. Add one to your global header, move the <div id="sitetran_translate_element"></div> line into it, and keep the two script lines in Code Injection. Keep exactly one copy of the div.

Built for Flexbe

What happens to each part of your Flexbe site

SiteTran translates whatever Flexbe shows on the page, including the buttons and messages Flexbe generates. It keeps watching the page, so quiz steps, pop-ups and form messages are translated the moment they appear.

Translated, messages included

Forms and pop-up forms

Field labels, placeholders, dropdown options, buttons and the personal data notice under your forms are translated, along with error messages when they appear. Text visitors type is submitted as typed.

Translated, every branch

Quizzes and custom results

Each question, answer option and result pop-up is translated as the visitor reaches it. With branching, SiteTran discovers a branch the first time someone takes it, so click through each path once before launch.

Translated when opened

Pop-ups and thank-you windows

Product pop-ups, promo pop-ups and the thank-you window after a form or order are translated when they open. Your confirmation message reads naturally in every language, not just the form.

Translated on your pages

Products, cart and order form

Product cards, variants, the cart and its order form are translated on Business plan stores. Customers read product details and fill in the order form in their own language.

Delivered as usual

Leads in Flexbe

Leads land in Flexbe's Leads tab as usual, and any CRM you connect keeps working. What visitors type is submitted as typed, so you see exactly what each customer wrote.

Unchanged

Your Flexbe editor

SiteTran only changes the text visitors see. You keep one version of each page in Flexbe, and when you rewrite an offer or add a section, the new text shows up in SiteTran ready to translate.

The lead path

From ad click to lead, in the visitor's language

A Flexbe landing page earns its keep at the form. A translated headline over an English quiz loses the lead at step one. Here's every step of the path and what SiteTran does at each.

Ad click

The visitor lands on your page. SiteTran reads their browser language and switches to it if you offer it.

Automatic

Landing sections

Headline, offer, benefits, reviews, FAQ spoilers and button text.

Translated

Quiz or form

Questions, answer options, labels, placeholders and error messages.

Translated

Thank-you window

The confirmation and your next-step message, such as when you'll call.

Translated

Lead in Flexbe

Typed answers arrive as typed. Send a test lead in each language to see how choices appear.

Test once

Follow-up

Route each language to a teammate who speaks it, so the conversation continues in the customer's language.

Your team

Set the tone for sales copy

Landing pages use short, direct offers. Add a Translation Rule such as “Spanish: address the reader as tú. Keep button text under three words.” AI translation follows it on every phrase.

Translation Rules →

Keep your brand and offers exact

Add your company name, product lines and promo codes to the Glossary so they're never translated. For phone numbers and prices, Automatic Number Variables let one translation cover every value.

Glossary →

Use cookies, not hash links

Flexbe uses # links to open pop-ups, the cart and sections. Keep SiteTran's default URL Type, which remembers the visitor's language in a cookie, so language codes never compete with your pop-up links.

Flexbe's conversion tools

A/B tests, ad-matched sections and geo content, translated

Flexbe can swap a section's content by test group, ad keyword or city, and drop URL values into your text. SiteTran translates each variant when a visitor is shown it. A few habits keep your phrase list tidy.

Small Business and Business

A/B testing

Version A and version B of a section are different text, so each is its own set of phrases. Both are translated, and when you complete the test and Flexbe deletes the loser, you can leave its old phrases alone or remove them in Pages & Phrases.

TipTurn on Machine Translation Auto Translate before the test starts, so version B is translated the first time a visitor sees it.
Small Business and Business

Dynamic content replacement

Each value of a section, picked by the utm_term in your ad link, is translated when it's shown. Open each ad link once in Preview so SiteTran discovers every version before your campaign goes live.

Examplefjordkitchens.com/?utm_term=delivery
Small Business and Business

Dynamic text replacement

When Flexbe inserts a URL value into a heading, every value makes a new sentence. Turn the changing part into a variable in SiteTran, and one translation covers every city, name or product in your ads.

VariableKitchens for {{city}} homes → Cocinas para hogares de {{city}}
Variables →
Small Business and Business

Geo content replacement

Flexbe can show a different section version by the visitor's city. Each city version is translated the first time someone sees it. Geo content changes what you offer by location; SiteTran handles the language each visitor reads it in.

Every way to make a Flexbe site multilingual

Flexbe's help center describes a Language menu that links copies of your pages, or a separate site per language. Its AI copywriter can translate a text block, and generic translation scripts are the other route. Here's what each one involves.

Copied pagesFlexbe Language menu Separate sitesOne Flexbe site per language Generic scriptsFor example GTranslate or Weglot SiteTranOne paste in Code Injection
How it works Duplicate each page (for example under /es/), translate it by hand, and link versions with a Language menu element. A copy of your site on its own domain per language, each with its own settings. Needs Flexbe's Business plan for several sites. A script in Code Injection. None publishes a Flexbe-specific guide. SiteTran translates your pages as they render and adds a language dropdown. Flexbe-specific guide included.
Forms, quizzes, pop-ups Rebuilt and kept in step on every copy. Rebuilt on every site. Translated as displayed. Free tiers are often machine-only without editing. Translated as they appear, including quiz branches and thank-you windows.
Translating the text By hand. The AI copywriter can translate one text element at a time, within its daily request limit. By hand, the same as copied pages. Machine translation, with editing on paid plans. DeepL, Google or OpenAI, plus your own translators and reviewers.
New offers and edits Repeat every change in every language copy. Repeat every change on every site. Detected when the page is visited. Discovered as it appears. Machine Translation Auto Translate can translate it right away.
Languages As many as you can maintain. One site each. Often capped per plan. Weglot Starter: 1 language, 10,000 words. Unlimited on every plan, 187+ to choose from.
Language URLs Each copy has its own address. Each site has its own domain. Usually the same URL; indexable URLs on paid plans or with extra setup. Same URL with translated meta tags; language subdomains as an advanced setup.
Team workflow Whoever can edit your Flexbe site. Whoever can edit each site. Varies, often on higher plans. Translators and reviewers per language, approval, Glossary and Translation Rules, with unlimited teammates.

When a second Flexbe site still makes sense

Flexbe sets currency, payment providers and integrations for the whole site. If you sell in euros in one country and in another currency elsewhere, or send leads to a different CRM per country, a separate site per market is the right structure. Add SiteTran to each one, and every market site can still offer more than one language.

Translation quality

AI speed, with a person checking what sells

Start with machine translation and refine your headline and offer with a native speaker. You decide what gets approved and when it goes live.

  • Machine translation from DeepL, Google and OpenAI

Get suggestions for any phrase, or translate new phrases automatically, so a new quiz step or offer goes up in every language. You choose whether translations are approved automatically or reviewed first.

  • Translators and reviewers per language

Invite a native-speaking colleague, agency or freelancer for each language and choose who can approve. Turn on AI Translation Review for a second opinion on your headline.

  • Glossary, rules and translation memory

Keep names consistent in the Glossary, set Translation Rules that AI translation follows, and reuse past work with Similar Phrases, so “Request a call” is translated once for every page.

  • A language dropdown that fits your design

Choose from three dropdown types, with or without flags, and add your own CSS to match your Flexbe theme. Visitors are switched to their browser language automatically.

Language URLs for Google

By default, every language uses your existing Flexbe address and the visitor's choice is remembered. For a separate, indexable page per language, SiteTran's Static Translation API returns translated HTML for an address you serve it from:

fjordkitchens.com/es/priceNeeds a proxy for the whole site

This needs your own domain and a small proxy or edge worker for the language subdomain. Flexbe's help center covers pointing a subdomain to another host, and its support team adds the record if your domain uses Flexbe's name servers. We'll help you plan it.

Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for your Flexbe setup

Most setup questions come down to where you're looking, where the code went, or text that hasn't been discovered yet.

1The language dropdown doesn't appear

  1. Look in Preview or on your live site, where Flexbe runs Code Injection.
  2. Open Settings › Code Injection and confirm all three lines are there, including the div.
  3. In SiteTran, make sure the language is both Active and Live. If Hide All Widgets On Site (dev mode) is on, add ?sitetran=on to your URL.
My Language Isn’t Showing Up in the Language Dropdown →

2Only one page is translated

  1. The Widget Code was probably added with the { } Code button on one page, which only runs on that page.
  2. Paste it into Settings › Code Injection instead.
  3. Then remove the copy from the page's Code panel so you don't get two dropdowns.

3The dropdown is at the bottom of the page

  1. That's expected with the </body> field, which places it after your last section.
  2. On the Dropdown Style page, set Widget Position to Fixed on window.
  3. Or move just the div line into an HTML element in your global header.
Positioning the Language Dropdown on your Site →

4A quiz step or pop-up is still in English

  1. SiteTran discovers text when it's shown. Click through each quiz branch, open each pop-up and send a test form once.
  2. A translation appears only after it's approved and published. To translate new text automatically, turn on Machine Translation Auto Translate.
  3. Search for the phrase in SiteTran. If it's there but unpublished, translate it and click Publish.
Translating Dynamic Content →

5My changes aren't showing yet

  1. After you approve and publish, translation data can take up to 30 seconds to update.
  2. A visitor's browser can keep translation data cached for up to 10 minutes.
  3. Try a hard refresh or a private window.
My New Translations or Changes Aren’t Appearing on my Website →

6I see two language switchers

  1. Check for a second copy of the Widget Code in a page's Code panel or an HTML element.
  2. If your header still has Flexbe's Language menu element from copied pages, remove it once SiteTran covers those languages.
  3. Reload in Preview to confirm one switcher remains.

Email support
How do I add SiteTran to my Flexbe website?
Create a free SiteTran site and copy your Widget Code from the Dropdown Style page. In your Flexbe dashboard, open Settings in the top bar, choose Code Injection, paste all three lines into the field before the closing </body> tag and save. Then open Preview or your live site, pick a language from the dropdown, and SiteTran starts discovering your phrases.
Which Flexbe plan do I need?
Any of them. Flexbe lists custom HTML code on its Starter, Small Business and Business plans. You need a paid plan to publish your site, and Flexbe's online store features are on the Business plan, but translation works the same on every plan.
Should I use Code Injection or the Code button on a page?
Use Settings, then Code Injection. Flexbe applies it to every page of your site. The Code button in the page editor only adds code to that one page, which works for a single landing page but leaves the rest of a multi-page site untranslated.
Why don't I see the language dropdown in the Flexbe editor?
Flexbe runs Code Injection code in Preview and on your live site, not in the editor, for security. Open Preview or your live site to see the dropdown and test your translations.
Does SiteTran translate Flexbe forms and quizzes?
Yes. Field labels, placeholders, options, buttons, error messages, quiz questions, answer options, result pop-ups and thank-you windows are translated as they appear. With quiz branching, each branch is discovered the first time someone takes it, so click through every path once before launch.
How do leads from translated forms arrive in Flexbe?
They arrive in Flexbe's Leads tab as usual. Text that visitors type is submitted as typed, so a Spanish visitor's comment arrives in Spanish. Send a test lead in each language before a campaign to see how answer choices appear in your leads and in any CRM you connect.
What about Flexbe emails and lead notifications?
Your forms, quizzes and thank-you windows are translated on the page, so every visitor completes the lead path in their own language. Like every website translation tool, lead notifications and Emails to Customers are sent by Flexbe rather than shown on your page, so they use the text you set in Flexbe's Settings.
Do I still need Flexbe's Language menu and copies of my pages?
No. SiteTran translates your existing pages and adds its own language dropdown, so you keep one version of each page. Keep a separate Flexbe site only when a market needs different currency, payment providers or integrations, since Flexbe sets those for the whole site.
Does SiteTran work with A/B tests and dynamic content replacement?
Yes. Each A/B version, dynamic content value and geo content version is translated when a visitor is shown it. Open each version once in Preview so its text is discovered before launch. For text that Flexbe fills in from URL values, use a SiteTran variable so one translation covers every value.
Can I send ad traffic to a specific language?
By default, SiteTran shows each visitor their browser language when you offer it, which matches most ad audiences. Keep SiteTran's default cookie URL Type on Flexbe, since Flexbe uses # links for pop-ups, the cart and sections. For separate language addresses, see the Static Translation API.
Do translated Flexbe pages get their own URLs for SEO?
By default, every language is served from your existing Flexbe URL with translated titles and meta descriptions, and the visitor's choice is remembered. For indexable language URLs, SiteTran's Static Translation API can serve translated HTML on a language subdomain such as es.yoursite.com through a proxy you point it at. This needs your own domain. Book a call and we will help you plan it.
Can I use machine translation and still review it?
Yes. You can get machine translation suggestions from DeepL, Google Translate or OpenAI, automatically translate new phrases, and decide whether those translations are approved automatically or reviewed first. You can also invite human translators and reviewers for each language and use AI Translation Review.
Will visitors see their own language automatically?
Yes, by default. SiteTran detects the visitor's browser language and switches to it when that language is available on your site. The choice is saved in a cookie for future visits, and visitors can change language at any time from the language dropdown.
Can I test translations before visitors see them?
Yes. A language stays hidden from visitors until you set it to Live. You can also turn on Hide All Widgets On Site (dev mode) under Settings, then Publishing, and add ?sitetran=on to your site's URL to preview the language dropdown yourself before a campaign launches.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 7,000 words in your site, 3,000 translated pageviews per month and 7,000 machine translations, with unlimited languages and teammates. Paid plans raise those limits and start at $3 per month. Compare plans.
What happens if I go over my plan's limits?
You will be prompted to upgrade or buy additional credits. Your existing translations remain intact, and new translations are paused until you upgrade.
