Invite a translator

Invites are per language. If someone should translate French and Spanish, invite them to each language.

How to send an invite

  1. Open your site in Site Manager, then open Languages.
  2. Click Manage for that language, for example Manage French. SiteTran Languages page showing the Manage button for a target language.
  3. Under Invite a translator, enter their email address. SiteTran language page showing the Invite a translator email field.
  4. Leave Set this translator as a reviewer checked if they should also be able to approve translations. Uncheck it if they should only translate.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The translator appears in the list right away. They also get an email with a link to join. If they do not have a SiteTran account yet, that email lets them create one and start translating.

Approved, Reviewer, and Accepted

The translator table on that same page is where you manage access:

  • Approved means the translator is able to translate.
  • Reviewer means the translator is able to approve translations. Approval is not the same as publishing to the live site.
  • Accepted means the translator has agreed to translate this language. You cannot turn this on for them. It changes when they accept the invite.

After you change Approved or Reviewer, click Save.

A translator can work in the translator interface as soon as they are Approved and they have Accepted. Their translations appear on the website when they are published.
