How to Export Your Data?

The export feature lets you generate a file with your phrases, translations, and other related metadata. You can select specific pages, languages, and additional optional data, such as element tag/attribute name, translation approval status, translator information, and more.

Supported File Formats:

  • CSV: Comma-separated values (CSV) is a common format used to store data in a table, where each piece of information is separated by a comma.
  • JSON: JSON is a format used to organize data in a way that makes it easy for software/programs to read and share information.
  • XLIFF: XML-based file format that is widely used for translation and localization.

How to Use the Export Feature

  1. Navigate to your SiteTran site, click Advanced Settings, and select Export File.

  2. Select Your File Type: Choose from CSV, JSON, or XLIFF.

  3. Select Language(s): Use the dropdown to select one or more languages, or click "Select All".

  4. Select Page(s): Choose one or more pages you want exported, or click "Select All".

  5. Select Optional Data: Include additional data (e.g., tag name, attribute, approval status). Note: XLIFF only supports the element’s tag_name/attribute_name.

  6. Get Your Exported File: Click "Export File" to generate your file. Once complete, it will appear in your browser's download tray.
